I am actively looking for an Autism Teaching Assistant to join a beautiful SEN school in Hillingdon, North West London.

This is not just an ordinary school, this is an incredible Specialist SEN school dedicated to supporting children with Autism/ASC, Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD).


I would like to speak with an individual who is proactive, enthusiastic, nurturing, and can be a positive role model for children aged 2-19 with special needs.

You will be working with students both inside and outside the classroom, supporting them with their classwork and personal development.

The school has fantastic facilities and resources available, including a hydrotherapy pool, outdoor learning space, library, sensory room, sports hall, soft play and much more.


As an Autism Teaching Assistant, you can expect to have the opportunity to support children via various communication strategies, such as Makaton, PECs, visions boards and more and also be given excellent training opportunities.


Requirements:

  • Happy with assisting with personal care (feeding and toileting)
  • Passion for working with children with SEN
  • Calm, patient, with resilient nature
  • Happy to help in all areas
  • Can use own initiative
