The recently restructured Finance Branch are looking for a proactive individual to join the team as a technical specialist and help develop, support, and maintain the Force Finance Information Technology (IT) systems.
In this fast paced role, the successful applicant will support the identification, research, evaluation, and recommendation of potential improvements to the efficiency and effectiveness of Finance systems and procedures at both a central and local level.
In addition, you will be responsible for developing, documenting, and implementing procedures, both within the section and for end-users, using a variety of communication methods which support the most efficient and effective use of systems.
Technical knowledge of financial systems, such as understanding the interactions between various Finance Systems would be a distinct advantage but is not essential prior to appointment.
Excellent communication skills will enable you to excel in this role as you will be supporting our customers and delivering technical information to non-technical people and developing, documenting, and implementing new procedures supported by your ability to keep up to date with latest technology through environmental scanning and attendance at user groups.
