The Role

This role is a 6 month fixed term contract.

We are looking for a Claims Adjuster to proactively adjust Financial Institutions and Professional lines claims and ensure that you deliver excellent customer service to both our internal and external customers.

Responsibilities will include:

To develop a thorough understanding of the underwriting and claims within the Management Professional Lines portfolio.
To proactively adjust claims within your authority level and in accordance with the Canopius claims vision and obligations; ensuring and delivering excellent service to all our customers.
To ensure that sufficient financial provisions, in accordance with the Canopius reserving philosophy, are held for all claims within your portfolio.
To develop and maintain close and collaborative working relationships with your divisional underwriters and actuaries.
To ensure delegated claims are managed in accordance with Canopius claims values; ensuring effective oversight of TPAs/Service Providers via regular reporting on key performance indicators, peer reviews, file reviews and generally sharing of best practice.
To instruct and proactively oversee lawyers, adjusters and experts from the Canopius panel.

Essential Skills & Experience

Claims practitioner with experience of Financial Institutions and Professional lines claims.
Good understanding of policy coverage, benefits and exclusions.
London market experience
