Description

Civil Design Engineers play a vital role in shaping the future of infrastructure projects. We are seeking an experienced Civil Design Engineer to join our professional design team in Southampton, where you will work collaboratively with electrical and mechanical teams to produce original designs for civil infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Liaise with clients to understand their specific requirements and needs
Create high-quality outline designs for tenders within tight deadlines
Develop clear and well-structured design calculations and reports that meet industry standards
Provide support and design proposals to site teams from pre-construction to construction phase

Key Skills and Qualifications

Proven ability to undertake civil design to current codes and standards, ensuring safety and efficiency
Thorough knowledge of safety legislation relating to CDM regulations, prioritizing employee and public safety
Hydraulic design experience, with a strong understanding of fluid dynamics and pressure management
Proficiency in IT and Microsoft packages, including AutoCAD and other relevant software
HND/BEng in Civil Engineering or Civil Structural Engineering, or equivalent experience
Chartered status is beneficial but not essential, as we prioritize individual growth and development
