Oakey Smokey is a new smokehouse opening in June 2023 that specialises in smoked meats and other BBQ dishes. Our mission is to provide high-quality, delicious food to our customers while also creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.


Responsibilities:

• Greet customers as they arrive and guide them to their tables.
• Provide excellent customer service, answering any questions customers may have and making recommendations on menu items.
• Take customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure that the dining area is clean, tidy, and wellstocked with supplies.
• Help to manage reservations and waitlists.
• Assist with cash handling and processing transactions.
• Work closely with the kitchen staff to ensure that food is delivered to customers in a timely manner.
• Follow health and safety regulations and food safety guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a customerfacing role, preferably in a restaurant or hospitality environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and multitask in a fastpaced environment.
• Passion for food and hospitality.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and evenings.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Knowledge of POS systems and cash handling preferred but not required.

Part-time hours: 25 per week
