The Role

The Stores Operative will report to the Parts Team Leader and will be directly responsible for receiving and receipting as well as storing and issuing parts to the workshop.

Responsibilities

Control stock levels, ensuring stock is entered on IT stock management system
Price and order parts using electronic parts catalogue (EPC)
Store correctly in designated area, issue stock to workshop in a timely manner
Carry sixmonthly official stock counts, monitors and investigates variances
Fulfil order and returns process
Control consumables
Receive, receipt and issue parts
Train suitable operator to cover for absence

Skills and expertise

Experience within the automotive industry
Good I.T. skills including previous experience in using electronic parts catalogue (EPC)
Experience working within a parts environment
Able to work under pressure and to deadlines
Strong ability to work with colleagues at all levels
Excellent problemsolving skills
High degree of customer focus and frontline communication
