Supplier Assurance Officer

Location - Selby, Northampton, Ipswich, London - Flexible

About the role

You'll undertake the relevant due diligence and assurance activity on all Drax non-fuel suppliers globally Scoping and delivering high quality supplier assurance and audit reviews Supporting supplier on-boarding checks, incident reviews and regular refreshes of checks within the pre-agreed time periods Develop and grow the non-fuel supply chain to support the future business strategy.

Keeping up to date on regulatory changes and industry best practices Support the aspiration to right
- size the supply chain for Drax Group.


The supplier assurance role is accountable for maintaining an up-to-date record of all non-fuel suppliers, providing high quality risk reports, with guidance and recommendations, to enable senior business owners to make the most appropriate risk decisions relating to the use of suppliers and establish relationships with IT, Business Ethics, Security, HSE, Data, Sustainability and Legal to ensure suppliers are measured against the required standard for each functional area.

You'll work closely with the wider procurement team including Procurement Leads (UK & North America), Head of Procurement Performance and Head of Procurement as well as the Business Ethics team to enhance due diligence policy and ensure appropriate escalation of ethical due diligence findings


About you

You'll have hands on experience working in Supplier Assurance or another similar role such as Audit or Quality Assurance and have the ability to build solid working relationships with stakeholders, peers and senior leadership, with an ability to influence and persuade others.

Professional procurement/audit/quality qualifications e.g. CIPS/IQA or equivalent is desirable.
The role may be required travel to all Drax offices within the Group globally and various supplier facilities globally
