Bid Manager

Basic salary up to £50,000 + bonus + benefits

Birmingham/Hybrid


My client is a multi national business services provider and they are looking for a creative, forward thinking Bid Manager to work with the National Accounts sales team.

As well as the usual bid library development and supporting and writing tenders, we'relooking for someone who can assess the viability of bids, understand what's important to each client and read the language used to determine the most effective angles to focus on.

The Role:


  • Working closely with the sales team, you'll be creating bids and tender responses for both potential new clients and existing business.
  • Identify and track opportunities on which to submit bids and feeding into the decision whether to bid for the work
  • Provide support to all inbound tender and RFP queries and ensure professional and compelling responses are created and delivered to the customer.
  • You'll be at the front of the process, really understanding the organisation we're bidding to work with but also assessing the viability of each bid to ensure it's both compelling and realistic.
  • You'll be creating great content as well as visual impact and ensuring accuracy as well as professionalism are at the core of every proposal.
  • Although you're supporting national tenders, you'll be based at the Birmingham site for at least half of the week with the rest potentially home based after an initial learning and development period.

The Person:


  • We're looking for someone with a strong background in bid management who understands the nature of a service led business
  • You'll be creative and driven, able to bring ideas and identify areas of improvement both for the bid library and the way bids are presented.
  • Experience in the development of compelling sales collateral and proposal/tender documents is essential.
  • We're looking for someone with a good knowledge of the Adobe suite or similar to be able to create a visually slick and professional bid. You'll also have expert level knowledge of MS word and excel
  • You'll be highly commercially aware with excellent attention to detail and be able to communicate with both internal stakeholders and clients when needed.

The Package:


  • A basic salary between £45,000 and £50,000 is offered
