Walker Engineering operate from three manufacturing sites in the UK and Europe supporting the aerospace and defence industries.

Due to business growth, we are looking to further strengthen our purchasing team in our Glasgow HQ.

Our Buyers play a key role with responsibility for all aspects of procurement and performance across their allocated category, from tendering and negotiation through to buying, quality, cost and delivery controls.

We are interested in hearing from
talented purchasing professionals who are ready for a new challenge in a growth industry.

key responsibilities include:

Close partnership with manufacturing teams to ensure material and product availability for production planning
Commercial support on pricing and availability to maximise viability of customer proposals.
Demand management; generating forecast reports and managing supplier capacity.
Developing and managing strong supplier relationships
Managing material logistics and between internal sites.
