Translift Freight part of the Plasmor Group of companies has an opportunity for a motivated Transport Planner to join our busy Traffic Office based in Knottingley.
About us:
Translift Freight operate a modern fleet of crane-off-load vehicles delivering goods to builders merchants and house builders throughout the UK, we also have tipper fleet delivering hundreds of thousands of tonnes of aggregates per annum into the Plasmor manufacturing plants around the country.
The Role:
As a strong communicator, you should have a positive attitude and be willing to work in a vibrant and fast paced environment.
The role is responsible for the day to day coordination of our fleet and drivers and involves:
- To produce the most efficient transport plans of a mixed fleet of either tippers or crane vehicles
- Efficient allocation of drivers, vehicle, trailers etc.
- Communicating regularly with drivers about jobs
- The use of vehicle tracking software to ensure jobs run efficiently
- Dealing with any vehicle / driver scheduling problems
- Professional communication with internal and external customers
- Good geographical UK knowledge
- Ability to work under pressure
Requirements:
Must have a good level of Excel, Outlook and Word use
Must work well under pressure due to fast pace environment
Min 2yrs experience in the transport/logistics industry in a similar role
