Key Responsibilities:
You'll play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices, managing financial reports, and more
Your responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining accurate financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Processing and reconciling invoices, receipts, and payments.
- Preparing and managing financial reports, such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Monitoring and managing petty cash transactions for clients.
- Reconciling bank statements and ensuring financial transaction accuracy.
- Tracking and documenting expenses.
- Assisting in budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Working with various bookkeeping systems, including Xero, QuickBooks, FreeAgent, and Sage.
- Processing payroll and CIS scheme tasks.
- Handling monthly management analysis and bank reconciliations.
- Preparing monthend/yearend adjustments.
- Posting to bank, sales, purchase, and nominal ledgers.
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns.
- Handling company pension payments and ensuring compliance.
- Contributing to weekly cash flow forecasting.
Skills Required:
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- Excellent time management and communication skills.
- A meticulous and detailoriented approach.
- The ability to meet monthly deadlines with flexibility in working hours.
- Adaptability to various client procedures.
- A relevant bookkeeping or accounts qualification (advantageous, but relevant experience will be considered).
- Strong academic background with good numerical and computer skills.
- Knowledge of cloud accounting software.
- Minimum of 3 years of general bookkeeping experience.
Salary:
£26,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
