If so, we have an exciting opportunity in Ramsgate for a Fitter to work for one of our clients who is a leading global manufacturer of electronic instruments and electromechanical devices.

Responsibilities

Disassemble, test, fault find and repair various safety equipment for slides, rafts and their subcomponents.
To reassemble a variety of safety equipment, slides, rafts and their subcomponents in accordance with CMM's / OHM's and OEM packing instructions.

Skills and Experience

Numerate and literate minimum GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English
OEM training in maintenance and overhaul of safety equipment (highly desirable)
Previous experience of working in an engineering/workshop environment (highly desirable)
Prior experience working of interpreting and following in detail compliance manuals.
Experience of repairing and packing aircraft safety equipment (highly desirable).
Ability to work well in multidiscipline/crossfunctional teams
Working within a small team of skilled fitters, reliability, flexibility and teamwork are key skill requirements.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build closeknit relationships
Strong organisation skills and excellent attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure, to tight deadlines and multitask whilst maintaining a high degree of quality, workmanship and compliance with health and safety regulations.
Strong communicator (written and verbal)
Creative and outgoing
Positive, enthusiastic, confident and motivated
