CIPHER Medical have an opening for a Logistics Support Assistant. CIPHER Medical is a fast moving, fast paced and dynamic organisation. We are looking for someone who can come into the organisation and hit the ground running with this role.


CIPHER Medical provide a wide range of NHS and event medical support and this role is designed to support this effort.

With a large stock of medical kit and equipment which requires servicing and repair to ensure that all kit is operational within a timely manner thus ensuring that front line crews and vehicles have available all consumable goods and equipment that they require in order to provide the best patient care.


This role will be working directly for the Logistics Team Leader and will be in support of ensuring our expanding fleet and associated equipment is available to support our operational commitments.

Vehicles include front line A&E ambulances, rapid response vehicles (RRVs), patient transport ambulances (PTS), training vehicles, vans and cars.


Ensuring the vehicles are clean, fit for purpose and stocked ready to support our varied operational deployment across multiple contracts.


Main Responsibilities & Duties

  • Stock control and stock ordering from a variety of suppliers
  • Liaise with contractors to facilitate medical equipment service and repairs
  • Liaise with contractors to facilitate vehicle servicing and repairs
  • Identify & implement efficiencies
  • Maintain event vehicle kit stock levels
  • Maintain NHS vehicle kit levels
  • Ensure vehicles are clean inside and out ready for operational deployment
  • Assist with basic repair jobs around the base and to vehicles
  • Schedule and facilitate regular maintenance of all CIPHER vehicles
  • Keep accurate and up to date records of all maintenance/repairs electronically
  • Respond to fleet requests from operational staff
  • Facilitate timely repairs of all vehicles to minimise any vehicle off road (VOR) time
  • Carry out basic maintenance such as light bulb changes etc.
  • Maintenance of asset register and transfer this to 365

Essential Competencies

  • Full Driving Licence with C1 entitlement (no more than 3 points)
  • Confident computer skills

  • Flexible on days/hours of work
  • Work proactively without supervision
  • Responsive within a fastpaced working environment

  • Experience in similar roles
  • Familiar with MacBook

Job Types:
