Management Accountant

Location - Nelson
Salary - £40,000 DOE

Simpson Judge are working with rapidly expanding wholesaler and distributor, with offices based in Nelson. Reporting into the Head of Finance, this is an exciting time to join my client. If you are a forward thinking, commercial accountant, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Role and Responsibilities

Developing KPIs
Modelling: designing new financial models and setting up dashboards to analyse KPIs.
Rebuilding and improve existing financial models including revenues, actuals and forecasting
Managing the business forecast & budgeting process.
Understanding business drivers
Analysing various data; P&L, BS, Cashflow, CAPEX, Margins and Projects work
Actualisation of the forecast.
Building key relationships with business unit commercial teams and key operational stakeholders.
Managing and development of one direct report
Ad Hoc Business analysis

Skills/ Qualifications

Methodical with good organisational skills
Able to work well under pressure and to demanding deadlines

ACCA/ CIMA Qualified

Partqual may be considered
Have advanced excel (sumifs, vlookups, pivots etc.)
Power BI advantageous but not essential
Must be from a highly commercial background and have good commerciality
Proficiency in MS Power point and the ability to create clear and informative financial presentations.
A strong analytical skillset with clear attention to detail.
Commercially astute, with experience working with none finance stakeholders.
Experience managing and developing a finance team.
Significant experience working in a Management Accounts and Accounts preparation role.
