An opportunity has arisen in a wonderful rural school for a
EYFS & KS1 Level 2 Teaching Assistant.
A vacancy exists for a teaching assistant to work in our EYFS and KS1 classes.

It will be for 30 hours a week (8:30am until 3:15pm with 45 minute lunch), 5 days a week, term time only.

We are requiring a level 2 teaching assistant who has previous experience working in a classroom with these age groups and is able to start from 26th February or as soon as possible after that date.

Duties:

Provide support to the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and educational activities
Assist students with their academic work, including tutoring and providing additional guidance
Work closely with students with autism or special education needs, providing individualized support and accommodations
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
Collaborate with the lead teacher to develop and implement behaviour management strategies
Assist in the preparation of instructional materials and classroom setup
Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the lead teacher

Qualifications:

Experience working with children, particularly those with autism or special education needs
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff
Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse learning needs of students
Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with children
Knowledge of educational principles and practices
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
