An opportunity has arisen in a wonderful rural school for a
EYFS & KS1 Level 2 Teaching Assistant.
A vacancy exists for a teaching assistant to work in our EYFS and KS1 classes.

It will be for 30 hours a week (8:30am until 3:15pm with 45 minute lunch), 5 days a week, term time only.


We are requiring a level 2 teaching assistant who has previous experience working in a classroom with these age groups and is able to start from 26th February or as soon as possible after that date.


Duties:


  • Provide support to the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and educational activities
  • Assist students with their academic work, including tutoring and providing additional guidance
  • Work closely with students with autism or special education needs, providing individualized support and accommodations
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
  • Collaborate with the lead teacher to develop and implement behaviour management strategies
  • Assist in the preparation of instructional materials and classroom setup
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the lead teacher

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with children, particularly those with autism or special education needs
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse learning needs of students
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with children
  • Knowledge of educational principles and practices
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

£16,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
