The role

The difference our new Senior Buyer will make
As a Senior Buyer you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. We're looking for talented people with an interest in procurement and supply chain who will help generate significant value for the business by reducing the total cost of bought in goods and services and manage supplier relationships to increase the overall value derived from the supply chain


Day to day, you'll manage and mentor a team of Buyers encouraging lean thinking and a continuous improvement culture, deliver key category strategies, supply Chain representative for Production, Quality and Projects, prepare, issue and review supplier RFQs, recommending preferred options to the relevant stakeholders and convert purchase requisitions to purchase orders and issuing to suppliers, negotiating appropriate T&Cs for the protection of the organisation.

This role provides hybrid working with 1-2 days office based per week.


Essential experience

  • A recognised degree level qualification and / or relevant engineering / supply chain / lean culture experience.
  • MCIPS qualified or studying towards.
  • Proven experience leading within a project procurement environment is essential.
  • Must have a flexible approach to workload, confident reading and understanding technical drawings and ability to communicate complex requirements to/from supply chain.
  • Ability to establish strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business.
