Our target is to attract up to 10 Clinicians/Practitioners and a supporting administration team who will have to be fully committed to achieving the same goal.

The Services provided within our Practice consist of private GP Services, Dermatology Services (including biopsies and lesion removal), joint injections, Women's Health, Mental Health Services, Plastic Surgery consultations, Pathology, Anti-Wrinkle Treatments, Dermal Filler Procedures, Facial Skin Treatments, MiraDry for Hyperhidrosis, Radiology Referrals and Physiotherapy services for musculoskeletal conditions


Job description:

We are looking to recruit a new member to our reception/admin team. Initially this will be to cover maternity leave with the potential to extend to a permanent contract.

Situated in the historic market town of Romsey in the county of Hampshire, England, we are offering applicants an exciting opportunity to work as an integral part of a progressive and expanding private medical establishment, the Romsey Medical Practice.


The town is situated 7 miles (11 km) northwest of Southampton, 11 miles (18 km) southwest of Winchester and 17 miles (27 km) southeast of Salisbury.

  • Monday: 09:00 17:00
Tuesday: 09:1- 18:00

Wednesday: 09:30 - 18:00

Thursday: 09:00 - 20:00

Friday: 09:00 - 17:00

Saturday: 09:00 - 13:00

Job Description - Receptionist

Job Specification:


Main Duties and Responsibilities:


  • To carry out Reception/Front of House duties that help to generate business and provide excellent patient care.
  • Reporting to the Practice Manager. Hours of work to be carried out in accordance with a weekly/monthly rota schedule.

Tasks to include the following:


  • Ensuring the clinical rooms and other areas (including reception area) are always clean and prepared ready for use.
  • Greet and welcome patients as soon as they arrive.
  • Answering, screening and forwarding incoming phone calls.
  • Booking of appointments, updating calendar and schedule treatment in conjunction with Practice Manager and Clinicians/Practitioners.
  • Diary completion for all Clinicians/Practitioners ensuring no cross over of room use and Clinician/Practitioner availability to achieve effective and efficient provision of the Practice services.
  • Booking follow up procedures and managing appointment reminders.
  • Take and record payments in line with patient payment policy.
  • Facilitate satisfaction and review processes.
  • Maintain Practice security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception area.
  • Perform other clerical receptionist duties as required.
  • Attend and participate in Team meetings.
  • Maintain a strong professional patient focused profile.
  • Assist with the Practice Leaflet and keeping other forms of patient communications up to date.
  • Promotion of treatment and retail sales.

Administration:


  • Data Protection Compliance.
  • Save Face Compliance.
  • Care Quality Commission (CQC) Compliance.

Equipment and health and safety:


  • Assist with efficient stock control and supply procedure.
  • Assist with ensuring Practice compliance with health and safety requirements.
  • Assist with COVID19 safe practices.

Other duties:


  • Work at other Practice locations as required and to cover other staff members is not yet required.

Person Skills:


  • Proven work experience as a front facing Receptionist/Customer service role.
  • Computer based system skills and experienceproficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Professional attitude and appearance.
  • Solid written and verbal communications skills.
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive
