An exciting opportunity has arisen for a new position within the ophthalmology department of London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust, based at Central Middlesex Hospital (CMH).

There is a current vacancy for a 0.8 WTE substantive consultant, familiar with high flow cataract surgery to provide support within a multiprofessional team.

The eye department at CMH was the first unit in London to restart elective cataract surgery after the first pandemic wave.

We have shared our innovative processes within the sector, regionally and nationally.

The post-holder would be expected to work with other relevant stakeholders within the sector and within the sector to ensure the delivery of a high quality cataract service for our patients.

To be considered for this role you must be medically qualified, GMC registered or a Specialist Registrar who is within 6 months of being admitted to the GMC's specialist register with a valid licence to practice and a Member or Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists or equivalent.
