Hours:37.5 hours per week
Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust are currently seeking a Band 3 Therapy Assistant to assist the team of Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists in the assessment of appropriate patients.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct and participate in a wide range of treatment sessions, tailored to the needs and goals of the patients, following assessment by the Occupational Therapist Delivery of groupbased exercise or activities under indirect supervision of physiotherapists, nurses, occupational therapists and/or postural stability instructors
- Support Occupational Therapist in planning and coordinating treatment interventions and wider therapeutic activities that take place on the ward, which aim to meet the needs of patients.
- Contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions regarding patients' treatment and eventual discharge.
- Liaise with other members of the team and external agencies
- To support the team in nonclinical tasks
- Good literacy and numeracy skills
- Level 3 NVQ in a relevant area
- Have the ability to undertake training to acquire the skills appropriate for development in the post
- Previous experience as a healthcare assistant, rehab assistant, occupational therapy or physiotherapy assistant
- Experience of working with older people
- Physically able to perform tasks whilst kneeling, bending and able to handle patients and equipment safely
- Valid and current driving license and car to be able to travel to locations throughout

Job Types:

Salary:
£10.00-£15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
