We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Accounts Receivable Team, as a Credit Controller.

About the role

The main purpose of the role is to collect outstanding debt due from customers in accordance with the company's credit terms and identify, record, and co-ordinate the resolution of any disputes with customers. Other responsibilities of the role are to maintain customers' accounts free of unallocated payments or credit notes and look for remittance advices when needed.**:

This position is a 12-month fixed term contract (Maternity cover), which offers Hybrid working where you can work from home and will be required to attend the Corby office twice a month.

What we're looking for

  • Collecting outstanding debt on allocated accounts by telephone and written communication within agreed timescales and maintain accurate records of all such activity.
  • Meet targets set by the collection's manager. Current targets are aged debt (%), cash collection (£), recovery of yearold debt (£), other targets could be added
  • Respond promptly and completely to both customer and internal queries.
  • Making follow up calls to ensure that all queries are resolved, and debts are paid in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Referral of accounts to our legal team and debt collection agencies where appropriate and dealing with any issues arising.
  • Monitoring customer credit limits and maintaining company credit policies. Analysing online credit rating agency information and setting up credit limits when needed.

A bit about you

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook is essential.
  • Experience of working in a credit control, accounts department or customer service in a busy environment.
  • Excellent communication & organisational skills
  • Be flexible, selfmotivated and a team player
  • Good telephone manner
  • Experience in SAP is an advantage
