Front-End Developer

Farnborough, Hampshire / Hybrid Remote working options


Front-End Developer required by a thriving cutting-edge next generation technology within the Defence & Security sector, based in Farnborough, Hampshire.

The Front-End Developer will have experience of the full SDLC from scratch, with expertise in React,Redux and JavaScript frameworks and libraries as well as solid knowledge in Geo Data and ideally either WebGL or Canvas.

A few details about the role:

  • Collaborate with back-end developers to improve usability Get feedback from, and build solutions for, users and customers
  • Create quality mockups and prototypes
  • Help backend developers with coding and troubleshooting
  • Stay up to date on emerging technologies

What you will need:


  • Geo Data Visualization Front-End Developer
  • Experienced React developer using Redux middleware
  • Deep understanding of WebGL and Canvas
  • GIS experience, Mapping / Maps
  • Skilled in JavaScript and interfacing with REST APIs
  • Competent with modern CSS and crossbrowser techniques
  • Communication skills, with both tech and nontech people
  • SC Level Security Clearance either active, lapsed or eligible.

Desirable Skills:

  • Building for mobiles / tablets
  • TypeScript
  • Can manage frontend tooling such as Webpack or similar
  • Experience optimising UIs for high performance
  • Appreciation of the constraints and requirements imposed on development within secure, safety critical environments
  • Any knowledge or experience with any of the following may also be of an advantage: Azure, AWS, Cloud, Kubernetes / K8S, Kafka, NiFi, ElasticSearch, AI, VR, Machine Learning
