This is a hybrid role with 3 days working from our London offices and 2 days working from home

40 million people wear spectacles in the UK alone, but the optical industry hasn't changed in more than three centuries.

Products are tired, standards are poor, and glasses wearers have got used to sub-standard experiences.

The reason we exist, our core purposeis to change the spectacles industry for the better and make spectacles great again.

The Role:

Development of the Shopify Plus platform, themes, liquid programming language and corresponding apps
Design UX based from our brand standard and style guide
Implement system integrations that are crucial to our success
Contribute in the development of open source software, HTML5/CSS/JavaScript, and common web technologies integral to building seamless multichannel experiences
Developing testing plans and troubleshooting issues related to eCommerce issues
Conducting root cause analysis and determining/developing corresponding action items
Implement advanced debugging techniques and usage of browser developer tools

Who you are:

25 Years of experience in Website Development
Knowledgeable in security / personal data protection principles and GDPR
General experience building, launching and maintaining stores, as well as general knowledge of the admin system
Demonstrable expertise with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, with an indepth understanding of DOM
Experience with working with a made theme and/or Storefront API alongside Shopify's theming system and Liquid templating
Experience with implementing/debugging 3rd party Shopify apps as well as creating custom solutions if necessary
Thorough understanding and experience with vanilla JavaScript, jQuery, ES2015/ES6, and modern JavaScript frameworks
Experience with Shopify's object/properties, AJAX API, and Meta fields
Thorough testing and debugging skills with browser console and external tools
Experience developing for responsive layouts for a desktop, tablet, and mobile
Experience working with 3rd party services and APIs, specifical plugins for Shopify
