The role
As an Assistant Buyer you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. Supporting the procurement team in the day-to-day procurement of equipment, materials, and services

Day to day,
- provide the calculates and payment of the scheme's benefits ensuring compliance with legislative and pension scheme requirements. This includes early leaver calculations, transfer values, the calculation and payment of benefits for member retiring normal/early/late or on ill-health retirement and deaths

Together, with the team you will ensure work is completed to SLA's and maintain the Pension Administration System. You will deal with enquiries from our members, trustees, and the employer. Work with the Payroll and HR Departments and external organisations, always ensuring the highest level of communication and service to all.
You will have the opportunity to work on adhoc projectbased work.

Essential experience of the Assistant Buyer

Knowledge and experience of working with Defined Benefit Schemes is essential.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong attention to detail and commitment to provide ongoing quality
Good knowledge of UK pensions legislation
Team player, who can work to tight deadlines
Able to prioritise and organise workload

This is a hybrid based role based at Rosyth with a mix of office working and working from home.
