Do you have HR case management experience and an awareness of legal requirements around disability, equality act and workplace adjustments? Are you looking to take the next step in their career? If so, this role could be for you


We are looking for a Disability Adjustments Specialist to join our People Hub Team to provide expert support and advice, across a range of customers in relation to Disability Adjustments in the workplace.

This is a new and exciting opportunity for someone to make a real difference in the way we support our colleagues and managers.

The role will sit as part of the Employee Relations Team and will offer support in terms of ongoing case management and advice.

It will also be closely linked to the Diversity & Inclusion team to implement and drive forward actions, as a Disability Confident Employer.

The role will be based in Stockton on Tees, working hybrid between the office and home. Some occasional travel will be required, to attend in-person meetings across the business.

What you'll be doing:


  • Offer confidential advice, guidance, and specialist support to colleagues with disabilities and People Managers to identify workplace adjustments and make sure they are implemented efficiently and effectively
  • Review our workplace adjustments process to make it more effective across the business
  • Offer advice that is in line with both Policy and Legislation, providing direct case management for those who require more complex workplace adjustments
  • To support with action planning to achieve and maintain our status as a Disability Confident Employer
  • To contribute to HR and Company Policy through a disability lens and help to identify improvements to support with disability inclusion
  • This role has the potential to grow in the future and could include attending external events and coaching and upskilling others
  • Review and help compile data and MI and take actions to improve how we support people with disability

What you'll bring:


  • Interest and some relevant experience of working with and advising on Disability Adjustments
  • Some exposure to handling complex and difficult cases
  • Ability to work with several customers, including senior levels as part of an ongoing programme
  • Ability to accurately analyse data and draw conclusions/make recommendations for improvement from findings
- customer service mindset and a great teammate with the ability to build strong working relationships


It would be great if you had:

  • Previous experience within an Employee Relations team
  • Previous experience and knowledge of working as a Disability Confident Employer
  • Experience of delivering Projects or Change Programmes
  • CIPD Qualification or are working towards
  • Previous experience in a shared service environment or working as a disability adjustments SME, or similar
