As the Smart Meter Programme Capability Lead you will manage the key projects to design and procure our end-to-end Smart metering solution, and the operational changes required to enable the benefits for our customers.

You will contribute laying the foundation for our mass Smart Meter rollout and integration to our core business processes.

This is an exciting initiative that is vital to us driving the customer engagement and operational changes and enhancing our customers' experience.


Your main duties will include managing activities including requirements gathering, architecture design, solution options, procurement selection and business readiness for Smart Metering, overseeing the delivery of Operating Model changes, including the key business processes in Leakage, Customer Services, and Customer messaging on Usage.


Experience working in utilities, ideally on Smart Metering or other high volume data programme would be highly desirable although not essential.


You will have:

  • Proven track record of Project and Programme Management delivery expertise
  • History in building a new capability
  • Experience in building an operation unit that is reliant on data
  • Excellent communicator
  • Proactive and confident individual
  • Stakeholder management
