Description

A leading manufacturer of high precision components for use in a range of products and industries is now looking for a Quality Engineer to join their Somerset based facility.


Working onsite as a member of the Quality Team you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of products and services from contract review through manufacturing, test, despatch and also in service with the customer.


You will establish and introduce Customer, Company and Regulatory requirements and ensure they are adhered to correctly through internal and external audits.


You will champion the pursuit of effective compliance and continuous improvement with active development of our suppliers, processes, and people.


Experience:


As the successful Quality Engineer, you will have 5 or more years experience in a similar Quality role within a high-tech Manufacturing/ Quality/Engineering environment, ideally having worked with microelectronic production and assembly techniques.

It is essential you have a working knowledge of MIL STD 883 and ISO 9001 standards.


Working in a similar Quality role you will be able to review & interpret drawings and test reports as well as design and maintain manufacturing quality control.


Qualifications:


Ideally you should be qualified to at least BSc in technical discipline; Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering degree or equivalent experience.

Preference will be given to those who have trained in Quality auditing. ISO 9001.
