We have a fantastic opportunity at our newly refurbished office in Lichfield for a high performing, motivated, hands-on Transport Planner.

As our Transport Planner you will be responsible and accountable for

Planning our vehicles effectively to achieve OTIF (On Time In Full).
Ensure all customer collections are achieved.
Changing schedules to meet customer/network demands.
Liaising with drivers and colleagues to ensure all daytoday activities are met to the highest possible standards.
Ensuring our drivers are delivering OTIF and reporting delays effectively.
Trouble shooting critical transport related issues as they arise in a live environment.
Managing of Company expectations by ensuring drivers are effectively using incab technology and obtaining Pod's eta's and relevant paperwork.

Skills & Attributes:

Experience of a pallet network operations is essential for a fastmoving traffic office.
The ability to utilize and manage drivers effectively.
Full training for the inhouse systems will be provided, however a good knowledge of computer skills will be required.
Good geographic/and road network knowledge of the DE/WS is essential.
Flexible approach with regards to working hours
Able to work under pressure in a timecritical environment.
Previous experience of working with Transport Planning and Management Systems, would be advantageous.
Well organised with an acute attention to detail with excellent problemsolving skills.

To be successful in this role you'll have been a transport planner for at least a year, with a proven track record, experienced in planning, very strong communication skills and be able to build strong relationships with other departments.
