Programming Group Leader
Alpha Manufacturing, a member of The HEX Group, is a privately-owned business fabricating sheet metal in the UK. Alpha designs and produces both sheet metal work components and assemblies. Established in 1989, the company now employs over 150 people.

Utilising industry leading technology, Alpha Manufacturing have facilities to design, prototype and manufacture a diverse range of products all in their purpose-built sheet metal fabrication factory in the heart of Staffordshire.

Having experienced significant growth and success over the last few years, we are looking to strengthen our team with the recruitment of a Programming Group Leader.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for the co-ordination and supervision of the programming team's activities to ensure programs are created with maximum utilisation and to gain maximum efficiency, all within the timeframe outlined from the company MRP system.

This includes improving and developing methods of working and systems to increase output and improve workplace environment.

Key accountabilities include;

Managing team performance to meet KPI's
Ensuring programmers are meeting shop floor paperwork targets
Ensure raw material is requested in a timely manner so it is available prior to the planned manufacturing date
Providing training and support to team members
Reviewing programming methods for efficiency and recommending improvements to the production manager
Managing tooling budget for all CNC machines
Liaising with other departments including Production, Planning and

Purchasing

Ability to program CNC punch and laser machinery using Trumpf native software and Radan
Indepth knowledge of CNC programming and machinery particularly punch and laser
Experience managing a team and their performance
Flexible and able to adapt as required
Excellent organisational skills
Excellent communication skills
