LOCUM APPOINTMENT FOR TRAINING IN

Obstetrics and Gynaecology

Applications are welcome for the above Fixed Term, Full time (40 hours per week) post based in Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.

The post holder will work on the appropriate out of hours trainee rota and as such will take on the responsibilities associated with this role.

The post holder will be supervised by a non-resident a consultant out of hours and will need to respect the roles of others within a multidisciplinary team and communicate with them appropriately.

The post holder will contribute fully to the out of hours rota (including daytime on calls) which is typically 1:8.

Clinical duties are primarily sessions on labour ward as well as covering emergency gynaecology.

This post has deanery approval for training and the successful applicant will receive training opportunities at the appropriate level based on previous experience.

There may be a possibility to extend this appointment to the end of the training year. The extension may be at any of the hospitals on the rotation.
