Applicants must be able to help with holiday and sick cover so a flexible approach to working hours is essential.


A mature and proactive approach is essential in order to fit in with our team of hard working staff, in a hot, busy and sometimes stressful environment.

Heavy lifting is part of the job.

Our working hours are Monday to Saturday 8 am to 5.30+pm and Sunday 8.45 am to 4.30+pm. Applicants must be able to do half AND full day shifts as part of our rota.


The job includes:


Customer service, making coffees (training given), making food & drinks (training given), serving at tables, taking & fulfilling hand written orders, taking cash & card payments (training given) washing up, ensuring thorough cleaning all areas of the shop, toilet and outside seating areas, ensuring the shop is fulfilling SFBB criteria, regular heavy lifting.

The Banana Garden is a dog friendly coffee shop.

Hourly rate - National Living Wage as our minimum. Increased hourly rate for supervisors.


You will need to work at least 30 hours per week spread over various shifts depending on experience and requirements - to be discussed.

Hours will include every Saturday.
