As a Risk Practitioner, your main responsibilities would be:
Duties:
- Lead the development and coherence of Infrastructure Risk governance and reporting at Strategic Level.
- Work collaboratively with FMC Infra and the TLBs to refine and mature the Strategic Risk Register
- Anchor the process for Defence Risk Assurance Quarterly Risk and Assurance reporting and train the team on their roles and responsibilities, working collaboratively with the Infrastructure Function Assistant Head.
- Provide risk advice and guidance to Senior Officials and Ministers and provide accurate and timely responses to Ministerial and Parliamentary business.
- Mentor and train the Plans Performance and Risk Team on the management of risk process.
Essential:
- A sharp, selfmotivated, industrious and experienced risk management professional with previous defence experience, who has the ability to deliver high quality work at pace.
- You will have the ability to think strategically; compile, evaluate and assess risk reports from a variety of risk tools.
- Experience of managing and analysing risks as part of performance measurement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to secure the consensus of a wide range of stakeholders to the plans you produce.
- You will be skilled at forming and managing relationships with geographically dispersed colleagues working in a hybrid environment, and across organisation boundaries.
- Extensive stakeholder engagement at a very senior level.
- Management of Risk Practitioner.
Desirable:
- Previous experience of working in an Infrastructure Environment.
- Experience of risk management at Portfolio or Strategic level.
