Gospel Oak School, Tipton, DY4 0BZ

Terms:

16hrs per week (Additional overtime available)

Salary/rate:

£9.50 - £11.50ph (Dependant on age and experience)

Requirements:

Working shifts and unsocial hours, including evenings, weekends, school holidays and bank holidays.

About us:

P&E Sports was formed in April 2011 and we currently work in 15 schools providing PE lessons, CPD, extracurricular sporting activities.

In addition to this we manage a number of school sports facilities during the evening, weekend and school holidays.

We manage the lettings at Arrow Vale (Redditch), Gospel Oak School (Tipton) Pershore High School (Pershore), Bilborough College (Nottingham) and Waseley Hills High School (Rubery) Sports Centre facilities.

About the role:

To undertake a range of leisure centre duties, maintaining a very high standard of safety and providing a clean and inviting environment thus assisting in the delivery of high-quality sport and leisure services to the customer base using the Gospel Oak School facilities.

Desirable:
To support the delivery of sports classes to adults and children. Assist on our holiday camp during school holidays.

Responsibilities:

Maintaining and setting up equipment, checking it is not damaged and is safe to use
Supervising adults, teenagers and children using equipment where needed.
Assisting with any accidents that occur and giving first aid if needed.
Overseeing rooms, tidying and cleaning all areas.
Charging admission, taking bookings, renting out equipment, handling cash or answering the phone.
Selling refreshments
Provide coaching in sports classes and occasional birthday parties at the sports centre.
Excellent customer service skills
The ability to work well with others
Sensitivity and understanding
Patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations
The ability to work well under pressure
Excellent verbal communication skills
To be thorough and pay attention to detail
To be able to carry out basic tasks on a computer or handheld device
Must be passionate about sports and fitness
Previous experience in a similar role is desired but not essential
Willingness to learn
Driving licence (desirable not essential)
All Training will be provided.
