SpLD Assessor

We are actively seeking knowledgeable, conscientious, and experienced SpLD Assessors to join our team at Lexxic, as part of our Education Services Division.


What you'll be doing:

  • Delivering specialist diagnostic assessments for clients who present with dyslexia and when appropriate, including screening tools to identify the signs and characteristics of other neurodiverse conditions, such DCD/Dyspraxia and ADHD.
  • Maintaining and developing knowledge in the wider field (e.g., developments in DSA and SASC guidelines) ensuring required changes to practice are implemented promptly.
  • When required, provide consultancy and advice to clients on best practice in the field of neurodiversity.
  • Undertaking bespoke projects as required.

Must Have:


  • Hold a current APC
  • Understand the DSA, as well as knowledge of current JCQ regulations
  • Be committed to using assessment approaches to help neurodiverse individuals overcome the challenges they are experiencing in education and other settings
  • Have some experience in using SASC guidance to complete specialist diagnostic assessments for adults in Higher Education

Nice to Have:


  • Experience of completing assessments via videolink platforms
  • Experience using SASC guidance to complete specialist diagnostic assessments for adults in employment and/or to offer workplace recommendations
  • Experience of individual tutoring/ training
