The Operations Team in the Ophthalmology Department are seek an enthusiastic and organised Senior Administrator to support the management team and lead the clinical admin team.
You will prepare power point slides and pull data for the Operations Manager and Deputy Operations Manager including administration of senior meetings.
You will be supported in your role to line manage staff and provide improved administrative processes to support our patients.
Main duties of the job
To work under own initiative and unsupervised for the provision of a high quality and comprehensive personal assistant service to the Ophthalmology Department.
This includes providing administrative support to the Clinical Lead, Senior Clinical Nurse, Operations Manager, Deputy Operations Manager and Directorate Support Manager.
You will have line management responsibility for the Ophthalmology Secretariat.Working for our organisation

Qualifications:
Essential criteria
Educated to degree level or NVQ level 4 or equivalent experience.
- Customer Service/ Business Admin /ITQ or equivalent professional experience.
Secretary qualification or equivalent.
Team leader/management qualification.
Typing qualification or equivalent experience (if applicable).
- Specific technical/professional qualification (if applicable).Experience
Experience of managing staff/a busy clerical/office environment or reception service or project.
Secretarial and /or complex administrative experience.
Prioritising, planning and organising own and others tasks.
Experience of dealing with difficult situations and confrontations.
- Data entry experience and documentation.
Previous experience of working in NHS.
Previous experience of working with medical records.
