Manufacturing Estimator - The Rewards

Permanent contract
Salary in the region of £30,000 to £35,000 with the level dependent on experience

Manufacturing Estimator - Requirements

Proven experience within estimating / business development, preferably gained within heavy engineering
HNC / HND qualification in an Engineering discipline
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Demonstrate strong numerical analysis skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure
Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

Manufacturing Estimator - Responsibilities

Reporting to the Manufacturing and Planning Manager, as the Production Estimator you will assist with determining the best process and timings for quotations to allow the Commercial team to price work.

Your duties will include:

Providing the Commercial team with information and support so they can agree final quotation and submit tender
Ensuring all quotation deadlines are achieved
Working closely with the Manufacturing and Planning Manager to understand customer drivers and developing winning strategies for bids
Liaising with other departments such as Quality, Commercial and Planning
Ensuring all quotation records are maintained and up to date
