Independent Domestic Violence Advisor - 'HMP Eastwood Park and HMP Styal Prisons _This vacancy is only open to female applicants as an occupational requirement exception under Sch 9 of the Equality Act 2010._


Based:

Working flexibly between HMP Eastwood Park, HMP Styal, Castle House Women's Centre and in the community, some other travel maybe expected.


Salary Scale:
MS3 £ £ £


Hours:29hrsper week with opportunity to increase to fulltime, flexible working dependant on service delivery

We are now recruiting for an Independent Domestic Violence Advisor to work with women in HMP Eastwood Park and HMP Styal, who have experienced or are at risk from Domestic and or sexual violence.

We are looking for a passionate, forward-thinking self-starter who will drive innovation, delivery and improvement whilst developing effective ongoing practice.


As an Independent Domestic Violence Advisor you will provide specialist gender specific support and advocacy to women in prison who have experienced domestic abuse or sexual violence.

You will work with women to develop tailored safety plans for their return to Wales, to offer support and expertise, and to link in, where appropriate, with existing services and wider support networks for women in the Criminal Justice System.

The service elements for which the post-holder will be responsible are:

  • Service Delivery
  • Client Management
  • Multi-Agency Partnership working
  • Supporting Safer Wales with future development of our services
  • The role is being funded by Welsh Government to support delivery of the panWales Female Offending Blueprint Project. The Blueprint project seeks to improve outcomes for women at each stage of the Criminal Justice System and is being delivered in collaboration with a range of partners including HMPPS and the four Police and Crime Commissioners, as well as a number of other statutory and third sector partners._

Job Types:

£24,302.07-£25,828.61 per year
