Description

To support the companies Data Architect in the production of enterprise data design and standards within the company and with projects to engage, guide and govern their activities to the target architecture and standards.


  • Define and maintain the logical data models, within the company's architecture repository in Sparx Enterprise Architect
  • Define and maintain the enterprise data flows, within the company's architecture repository in Sparx Enterprise Architect
  • Define and maintain data architecture and design standards, patterns and decision frameworks.
  • Ensure that projects are governed to the companies data design standards
  • Supporting projects to use the companies standard artefacts and deliverables to help build the companies enterprise architecture.

Experience with:

  • Modelling investment and pension data within insurance
  • Producing logical and physical data flow diagrams
  • Working with stakeholders to communicate the value of architecture and design.
  • Working with stakeholders to support them in producing detailed deliverables in line with standards and guidelines
  • The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF)
- the end-to-end development life cycle

  • Knowledge of:
  • Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse methodologies and practices
  • Key data domains within UK insurance e.g. Investment, Pension, Financial Transactions Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Toolsets
  • Sparx Enterprise Architect or similar architecture modelling tools
  • MS Visio
