Opus Vitae are actively recruiting for
Assembly Operatives for our client based in the
Ludlow area.

Working hours
:
Monday - Friday, day shifts, or rotating mornings and afternoons available. 37 hour week.

  • Day Shift Pattern: Monday
  • Thursday 8.00am
  • 4.30pm. Friday 8.00am 1.00pm.
  • Rotating Shift Pattern: Monday
  • Friday 6am 2pm / 2pm 10pm. Rotating weekly.

Salary
:
£11.50 per hour, progression available.

Additional shift allowance of £72.24 per week - Only applicable on rotating shifts.

Average production bonus of £33.00 per week - Paid on both days or rotating shifts.


Experience we are looking for...

  • Mechanical assembly experience, ideally within a heavy industrial environment
  • Experience of operating variety of production equipment
  • Experience as a mechanical fitter/mechanic a distinct advantage
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently

Job Responsibilities / Duties

  • Produces components by assembling parts and subassemblies.
  • Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
  • Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
  • Assembles components by fastening parts and subassemblies.
  • Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.
  • Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.
  • Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
  • Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

From £11.50 per hour


Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • No weekends

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Ludlow, Shropshire: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
