Description

This is an exciting time for them as they are bringing all development back in house and using the opportunity to cleanse and make more efficient and modern their existing core products but also designing and building new.

These new products will be advancedenterprise level Cloud to Cloud and ETL migration tools that will be the best in market for their capability.

Not just transactional migration but data wisdom too.

They currently have Consultants doing the early stages of development for the core products and design and build of the new but want to bring in a permanent resource to take ownership of the technical development of all products.

This role will thereforestart as a software engineer with open opportunities to how that could develop including Technical Architecture, Technical Lead with a team of other Software Engineers and so on.

The current skill set that you will have as a Software Engineer will include:

.net core development with C#
Entity Framework
CI/CD pipelines
Azure

Ideally Containers

Docker used here
Kanban boards, TFS or other source control.
Relational Database such as SQL Server.
Microservices

The new products have the most current technology stack so you will pick up or develop further the following skills:

Mediator
Automation
DevOps (although managed elsewhere you can do more of this if you want)
C# 6.0
Docker

It would be useful if you have worked as a Developer on Migration projects and have some ETL skills such as Azure Data Factory (ADF) or historic SSIS but not essential.

This role is fully remote. They get together socially once per month anywhere in the UK which is encouraged but not essential. They did have a base in Bristol so it can often be there but not always. They also do a 3-4-day stint with their internationalcolleagues once per year.

It is a great opportunity for an Engineer with some good core experience now, but looking to get more ownership and responsibility of code decisions and excited about what is next for both this company and your role within in.
