We are looking for an organised and enthusiastic Yard Supervisor to join our friendly team at Jewson Rugby

This role is working with
Jewson as part of the
STARK Group. We are a leading building materials distributor in Northern Europe.

We connect suppliers of heavy building materials with the professional craftspeople who build, renovate, and maintain the cities of tomorrow.

Hours of Work:
Full time/permanent - Monday-Friday 7.30am-5.00pm and every 2nd Saturday 8am-12pm

Location: 10 Somers Road, Rugby CV22 7DE

So, what will you be doing?_

As a
Yard Supervisor you will play a pivotal role in supporting management by supervising the yard team to deliver an excellent customer experience.

You will also be expected to make sure your team are fully compliant with best practice Health and Safety processes whilst working towards branch sales targets.

From serving our customers to loading vehicles ready for delivery, and from monitoring stock to growing our sales, you'll be at the heart of our operations Your day-to-day duties will include:

Welcome customers to the branch and take an active interest in their projects and get to know our product lines so you can offer help and advice
Ensure your team are motivated and set up for the day and the rest of the week, work with the team to suggest opportunities for improvement
Work as a direct support to the branch manager by running the yard and acting as a key holder when required
Help to pick and prepare customer collection orders, load and unload customer and supplier vehicles and check all incoming deliveries and report missing or damaged products
Maintain stock levels in both the warehouse and yard areas, carrying out regular stock counts
Keep the yard looking clean and tidy and make Health & Safety a priority for your team at all times
