About the role


This is an excellent opportunity for a high level middle leader and experienced PSHE teacher who has the ability to make a significant contribution to our school.

An aspiring Senior Leader who is looking for a role working closely with the extended SLT and who will be required to attend regular SLT meetings.

This role does require some teaching; therefore, you should be able to demonstrate proven teaching experience in this area.

We are looking for an individual with high expectations and standards who can offer excellent behavioural management skills.

An additional strength would be a creative, engaging approach to curriculum design and planning both within the classroom and also in the wider outdoor learning environment.


Who are we looking for?
You should be an experienced high level middle leader with an aspiration to rise to a senior leadership role.

You should be able to demonstrate previous mentoring and coaching of staff and be confident in using recording systems to analyse and record progress and outcomes.


You will have responsibility for liaising with relevant external agencies and setting objectives for staff along with monitoring and recording progress towards these.


Main responsibilities:


Overall responsibility for the professional leadership and management of the formal PSHE/Well Being curriculum and the PSHE component of the Welcome programme in order to ensure high standards of teaching and learning are delivered, resources are used efficiently, effectively and the curriculum is managed and developed in accordance with school policy.

Curriculum Development

To lead curriculum development for PSHE/Well Being.

To actively monitor and respond to curriculum development and initiatives at national, regional and local levels.

Salary:
£17,000.00-£21,000.00 per year
