You will use the full range of grounds maintenance equipment, including the latest battery powered equipment, and we will help you train on any equipment you may not have used before through our Sherratt Mentorship and Training Scheme.

You will carry out the full range of horticultural and maintenance tasks required within the contract including, but not exclusively:

Herbaceous borders, shrub and flower borders.
Grass Cutting
Shrub and Hedge Pruning
Sweeping, Litter Picking, Leaf collection
Application of pesticides (PA1 PA6 training available)
Assist in soft/hard landscape work.

The role requires:

Working knowledge of the above grounds maintenance tasks
The ability to drive and operate a range of plant and machinery
A good working knowledge of Health and Safety
A positive and proactive attitude to customer service
A flexible and reliable approach to the working day
Strong teamwork skills

Essential / Desirable

Full current driving license

Desirable:

PA1 & PA6 Spraying certificate
Experience of working within a ground's maintenance contract would be an advantage.
Able to carry and operate some reasonably heavy handheld machinery and operate ride on mowers.
Having a methodical approach to work, being a Team player who supports colleagues.

Salary:
£24,000.00-£25,500.00 per year
