Job Description:


Working hours are Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm.


The purpose of the role is to manage Eurofins County Pathology's stock level, setting up requisitions, liaising with suppliers and other laboratories within the Eurofins Group.


  • Receiving and receipting stock when needed.
  • Managing an inventory management system, including stock rotation, and expiring dates for all stock including reporting any relevant information & KPIs associated.
  • Reviewing the value of stock and making cost improvements.
  • Monitoring any new stock processes to improve performance operationally and financially by way of making suggestions of improvements.
  • Assist with supplier reviews with Quality team.
  • Assist in the planning resources to meet the daily workload for laboratory.
  • Adhering to SOP's, work instructions and Quality Management system (QMS).
  • Reporting any nonconformances or near misses using local and company QMS and health and safety systems.
  • Placing orders
  • Managing service contracts for equipment such as pipettes, biological safety cabinets and biological analysis equipment
  • Maintaining the stores area to an acceptable standard
  • Communicating effectively to team members to ensure a smooth flow of work through the laboratory process.

Qualifications:


  • Understanding of stock management.
  • Good understanding of hazardous chemicals and storage.
  • Previous experience in stock management / procurement.
  • Financial and numerical skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills/
  • Highly Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent time management skills required.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures.
