Principal Cost Estimator


Location:

Salary:
From £43,373 depending on skills and experience


What you'll be doing:


  • In this role, you will be estimating major equipment and supporting the supply chain by conducting value analysis
  • Conducting subtier AAR (Attributable, Appropriate & Reasonable) reviews to ensure compliancy to government regulations
  • You will conduct scenario and simulation analysis on a micro to macro level to inform key business decisions including risk and uncertainty modelling
  • Conduct Risk and Opportunity register reviews
  • Bench mark to provide industry comparisons gathering information on costs included within subtier quotations by conducting Supplier fact find visits
  • You will be developing and maintaining internal and external Customer relationships
  • Playing a key role in Customer price investigations and supporting cost negotiations

Your skills and experiences:


Essential:

  • You will need to be educated to a degree level or be able to evidence relevant experience
  • Have gained good exposure to previous leadership roles
  • Experience in developing junior members of staff
  • You will need to have experience of using Microsoft Excel at an advanced level

The Cost Recovery
Team


This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Cost Recovery Team who are responsible for conducting value analysis on incoming supplier bids over £1M.

You will also execute negotiations and increase and develop buyers' ability to challenge costs.
