Flexible Mental Healthcare Assistant


Location:
Bury St Edmunds


Hours:
Full time, Part-time, Flexible Hours


About the Service:


The service is a 12-bed rehabilitation service that offers specialist care designed to support women who have a diagnosis of a Personality Disorder (PD) or an Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder (EUPD).

Individuals with other mental health problems and young women who are transitioning from CAMHS will also be considered for this service.


Role and Responsibilities:
As a Flexible Mental Healthcare Assistant, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact through your versatile and adaptable approach to patient care


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing direct support to patients, assisting with daily activities, and promoting independence.
  • Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to contribute to personalised care plans and treatment goals.
  • Assisting in the implementation of therapeutic interventions and group activities.
  • Documenting patient progress, behaviours, and any noteworthy observations.
  • Demonstrating empathy and compassion in all interactions with patients.
  • Maintaining a safe and respectful environment for patients and staff.
  • Adhering to facility policies and procedures to ensure highquality care delivery.

Qualifications:


  • Previous experience in a mental healthcare or learning disability setting.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Compassionate and nonjudgemental attitude towards individuals with mental health challenges.
  • Basic understanding of mental health interventions and therapeutic approaches.
  • Strong organisational and documentation skills.
