DFTechnical Production Operatives

Blackburn/Darwen area

£12.50p/h + hol. pay (PAYE or UMBRELLA - inside IR35)

3-month temporary contract - likely extension/on-going/T2P

We have several positions available for an immediate start

I am working with a key client in the Blackburn area who are a leading global manufacturer and supplier of technical components to the aerospace sector.

They are looking to recruit several Technical Production Operatives, to work on the build of composite and fibre glass assemblies, on a critical project:

As a Technical Production Operative, you will be required to conduct the following duties:
v Work in a clean room environment

v Use basic hand tools

v Follow standard manufacturing and operating instructions

v Work with composite materials

v Lay-up fibre glass materials to pattern and tool, and trim to specification

v Work to production plans and timescales

The Technical Production Operative will need to have the following attributes:
v Ideally qualified with NVQ L1 or 2 in Manufacturing or Engineering Operations (or similar) would be beneficial but not essential

v Great attention to detail

v Hard worker with a drive to hit targets while keeping standards extremely high

v A strong team player

v Experience within a precision manufacturing environment

v Composite materials experience would be highly beneficial (not essential)

v Strong communication skills, with a keen eye for Health, Safety and Quality

The benefits of this position:
v Day shift working Monday to Thursday 9.25 hrs per day (37hrs p/w), plus OT, Fridays & Saturdays at T1⁄2, Sundays and BH and T2

v Semi-skilled operator rates of pay
