The Internal Communications Project Manager will report to the Head of Communications and will be responsible for all project related activity for the team.


The Internal Communications Project Manager Responsibilities:

  • Manage the publication of all planned operational communication, via appropriate publications channels
  • Proofread for accuracy, quality assurance audience appropriateness
  • Manage the publication of content on the 'news' and 'home' pages of the intranet
  • Provide visibility of planned communication activity to central teams each week
  • Provide weekly performance reporting of communication activity to central teams and function leadership
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and make recommendations for change in line with reporting analysis
  • Provide intranet author training as required and engage accountable communication managers to signpost opportunities/requirements for content management improvement
  • Manage an archive of communication material to mitigate business risk
  • Contribute to the success of the Communication and Engagement team, providing support as business needs arise and contributing to team planning and thinking

The Internal Communications Project Manager Skills:

  • Experience of successfully delivering a portfolio of work on time and to an agreed set of criteria
  • Experience of successfully managing the publication of large quantities of variable information to multiple audiences
  • Highly developed eye for detail
  • High level of responsiveness, ability to make decisions and work autonomously to agreed timelines
  • Stakeholder management, including evidence of influencing and resolving conflict
  • Project management experience
  • Experience utilising the Office 365 communication and collaboration suite of tools
  • Experience with enterprise level MailChimp publication and reporting
  • Previous experience within a communications role for a large, market leading retail business


This is a hybrid opportunity with the need to travel regularly to additional sites with a need to stay over - expenses paid in addition.

Rates quoted are LTD rates which need to be taken via an Umbrella provider.
