Job Title:
Blind & Shutter Assembler and Fitter's Mate
The Company

• To uphold the company's policy of first class customer service
• Ensure that each project is completed to a high and impeccable standard and that the workshop and the site is left clean and tidy at all times and in line with health and safety and company policies
• Help with fitting when required / assemble shutters and blinds

Requirements:

• Must be eligible to work in the UK
• Must be well presented
• Live within commutable distance of Andover and surrounding areas
• Must be reliable, enthusiastic and polite
• Have a keen eye for detail
• Must be a good problem solver
• Work as part of a team and on his/her own
• Must be capable of planning and managing time effectively
• Have the ability to accurately measure
• Aware of Health and Safety requirements.

The Role

• Cutting parts ready to assemble
• Assembling shutters
• Maintaining stock
• Cutting blinds to size
• Take steps to ensure perfect fit of components
• Align material and put together parts to build more complex parts and units
• Check components and assembled items to ensure sound quality
• Work closely with other team members to resolve technical issues, implement design changes, and improve product quality.
• Ensure workstation and tools are kept in order and well maintained
• Report issues, malfunction or defective parts

Advantage

• A full, clean UK driving licence to drive a van/car free parking available
• An experience working with handheld power tools and fixings

ALL APPLICANTS will be required to show proof of right to work in the UK, references will also be requested.

As part of the recruitment process, you will be required to attend a working trial/interview.

Corporate polo shirt and fleece will be issued and must be worn during working hours.

Annual leave is 5 weeks (pro rata) therefore 25 days of which some will be used with the Christmas shut down period.

Plus bank holidays if they fall on the contracted working days.
