Weldsafe Limited, based in Scotstoun, Glasgow, is looking for a Stores person.

Weldsafe supplies welding machines, equipment, welding and cutting consumables, electrical products and PPE alongside a busy service engineering department.

Our customers are across a broad range of industries, including fabrication, engineering, energy, shipbuilding, manufacturing, construction, agriculture and motor vehicle repair.

Your day to day tasks:

• Receiving deliveries, booking in on our sales/purchasing system (SAGE 50 Accounting Software)
• Despatching goods, preparing shipments for our transport/couriers/customers
• Serving customers purchasing goods in store
• Controlling warehouse, showroom and yard, keeping them safe, organised, tidy and clean
• Undertaking stock checks
• Ordering goods from suppliers
• Occasional driving of the delivery van
• Opportunities to train in basic wiring of electrical equipment and Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) of electrical equipment
• Forklift truck licence holder essential
• Previous stores/stock control experience using a stock control system/software.
• Computer skills
• Basic literacy and numeracy
• Excellent customer service skills
• Organised, trustworthy and selfmotivated
• Good communication skills
• Good time keeping
• Driving licence holder essential and willingness to drive delivery van
• Positive attitude
• Right to work in UK
• Industry knowledge desirable

Working pattern Monday-Thursday, Friday.
