Computer Science/ICT Teacher - Workington - September


We are recruiting for a popular Secondary School near Workington, who are looking for a
Computer Science/ICT Teacherto join their team.

The role is ideally full time - although part time can be considered and available long term, so it is an ideal opportunity to secure regular work for the new academic year.

You would work as a supply teacher through our agency and receive weekly pay via PAYE. The daily rate would be
from £140 per day according to experience and qualifications. if you have a relevant teaching qualification and experience the daily rate is at least £150 and we offer an increase to payscale when successfully achieving post 12 working weeks
- this role is available long term.


Qualifications/Experience Required

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or have previous experience of teaching Computer Science
  • Have excellent classroom management skills
  • Be flexible, adaptable and willing to get "stuck in" and help where needed
  • Ability to set consistently high expectations for all students through class work, homework and enrichment
  • Commitment to enrichment and extracurricular provision, in the development of students

Duties/Expectations of a Supply Teacher


As a
long term supply teacheryou will be expected to
plan and teach well-structured lessonsof a high standard to the students you are assigned by following designated programmes of study.

By monitoring students in accordance with agreed departmental strategies you will impart your knowledge and develop students' understanding through effectiveuse of lesson time.

You will be expected to contribute to the design and provision of an engaging curriculum along with the other department staff.

You will
maintain disciplinein accordance with school policies and demonstrate good practice in the classes taught with regard to; attendance, appearance, uniform, punctuality, behaviour and homework.

You will also be expected to
set high expectationswhich inspire, motivate and challenge students.
